Super unleaded costs 17.5p a litre more than standard unleaded on average. Almost all petrol cars built since 2011 can use E10.

The government's weekly figure

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero publishes a weekly UK average. For the week of 5 October 2026 it was 174.9p for petrol and 199.5p for diesel. Our daily figures come from every forecourt's reported price and normally sit within a penny of it. The petrol price history guide goes back to 2018.
